5. Pinoy Ultimate Jeepneys

One of the popular events during the Grand Fiesta Manila is the Pinoy Ultimate Jeepneys competition, where colleges and universities will compete by designing jeepneys. The competition hopes to revive the declining art of jeepney art, which adds color to our roads every day. It also aims to celebrate our heritage and improve drivers’ livelihood by making their jeepneys more attractive.

The finalists’ works will be on exhibit from December 12 to January 6, 2017 with the awards night slated on December 17.

3. Annie the Musical

Resorts World Manila has produced great theater, and their latest offering is Annie, a Tony Award-winning musical based on the Harold Gray comic strip Little Orphan Annie. It tells the story a young orphan girl who is adopted by a New York mayoral candidate. It’s a hard knock life but with a little positivity, we can dream of a better tomorrow.

Annie is extended until December 11, and is staged at the Newport Performing Arts Theater with shows at 8 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, and 3 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.

2. Air Supply live in Manila

We’re a country of hopeless romantics, so it comes to no surprise that we’re fans of Air Supply’s love songs. Whether you like “All Out of Love,” “Two Less Lonely People in the World,” or “Making Love Out of Nothing at All,” you should catch the band, composed of Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock, when they come here to perform live.

Air Supply will perform in Manila on December 8, 8 PM, at the Newport Performing Arts Theater.
