5 Reasons We Can’t Get Enough of “Bridgerton” Season 2

In case you missed it, our favorite “Marites” and the regal ton is finally back with a second season! “Bridgerton” season 2 is finally out on Netflix and, after finally finishing all eight episodes, we can’t stop gushing about it.

If you haven’t started streaming the show (or at least the latest season), then let us give you a few reasons why you should finally click that play button asap. (PS. There may be spoilers if you haven’t seen the first season!)

1. The electric chemistry between Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley)

As you might have already seen from the trailers, we’re welcoming a few new characters to the Bridgerton world as we shift our focus to the story of the Viscount Anthony Bridgerton who has finally decided to marry.

Without giving anything more than what was already shown in the trailer, I can only say that it was such a delight to watch Anthony and Kate relate with one another, especially when they’re both strong characters who are also both stubborn and quick to banter. Palpable and electric are just two words we can use to describe their tension and chemistry on-screen.

Just as Nicola Coughlan (Penelope Featherington) shares, it’s how these two characters clash and butt heads against one another that makes them all the more exciting to watch together.

2. We get more of the Bridgerton family!

In the first season, we admittedly did not get nearly enough of the Bridgerton siblings and their relationships with one another. Well, in this season, you can expect to see more of them—with lots of heartwarming moments between siblings, a quick peek into the family’s history, and a number of wholesome family scenes that we just couldn’t get enough of.

3. Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) returns… with their adorable baby

While we were all probably heartbroken when Regé-Jean Page (a.ka. The Duke of Hastings, a.k.a. Simon Basset) announced that he won’t be returning for season 2, you can expect Daphne Bridgerton (now The Duchess of Hastings) to pop up throughout the show.

Plus, the special appearance of their cute baby is such a treat!

4. We get to see the aftermath of Lady Whistledown’s identity reveal

Slight spoilers if you haven’t seen the first season; but if you have, then you’re already probably wondering what happens next now that we know who Lady Whistledown really is. You’ll definitely be satisfied to see more of her story unfold in this season. And with this new information comes a lot of complications that had us at the edge of our seats through the whole season.

5. The kilig that makes our heart race!

I’ve said it, and I’ll say it again: we can’t get enough of Anthony and Kate this season. Jonathan Bailey does an amazing job of playing the strength, stubbornness, yet vulnerability of Anthony Bridgerton, and we cannot get enough of how a simple look can make our hearts flutter! Those long and lingering stares and “almost” touches? We love it!

If you’re looking for something that will make you feel all kinds of kilig and help you forget about the stresses of the world today, you’ll definitely find it in this season of Bridgerton.
