Samsung recently announced the release of their newest flip and foldable phones—the 4th generation of the Samsung Galaxy Z series.
We were able to get our hands on the newest Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4, and we instantly fell in love with the new devices. Here are some of our favorite features:
5. They’re thinner and easier to hold
The new Flip4 and Fold4 were redesigned to be the slimmest foldable phones to date. They’re also lighter and so much easier to grip.
With this design update, you don’t have to worry about your phone slipping through your fingers because it’s too big. It also makes the Flip4 more pocket-friendly.
Keep in mind though, that this thinner redesign does not compromise the display quality at all!
4. They’re more durable and water-resistant
The new flip and foldable phones from Samsung have also been made more durable, which is something we’re really excited about. The Flip4 is said to work perfectly for up to 200,000 folds! Plus, they’ve also integrated excellent waterproofing technology to make sure that you can enjoy your new flip and foldable phones no matter the weather.
3. They have improved cameras
While Samsung’s flagship camera technologies are already excellent as they are, it’s great to know that it’s constantly improving! Personally, I enjoyed being able to take amazing photos and videos on the Flip4 because of the superb quality, and the fact that it essentially has a built-in phone stand thanks to its foldable feature. As a content creator, that feature is a huge bonus and it’s something you can’t enjoy with your normal smartphones!
2. The vibrant colors
If you’re one who always leans towards aesthetics more than anything else, then it’s easy to fall head-over-heels in love with the Flip4 and Fold4, especially since they come in a variety of fashionable colors.
The Flip4 is available in Bora Purple, Graphite (Black), Pink Gold, and Blue. The Fold4, on the other hand, comes in Beige, Phantom Black, and Graygreen.

1. The flip and fold experience
Thanks to Samsung, the nostalgic flip phones have made a fashionable comeback. If you loved flip phones from way back, then you probably won’t be able to resist the feeling of being able to flip open your phone and snapping them shut. That “snap” and “flip” experience with these phones just might seem like such a small thing, but it adds a whole lot of “old newness” to the mundane experience of using a smartphone.
Honestly, it’s a completely valid reason to get a Flip4 or a Fold4 just because of the “snap” and the “flip”. If you’re planning to get a new phone, take this as a sign to go for the flip!
