Inviting you all to join this week’s Travel Exchange (TRAVEX) Expo, the 2nd Regional Travel Fair from Aug 17-18, 2018 at SM Lanang Premiere in Davao City.
Another Regional Travel Fair is about to take place and this time, it sets sail at Davao’s friendly shores in time for the annual Kadayawan Festival.
Score the hottest travel deals on tours, hotels, resorts as well as domestic airlines from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao!
This is the 2nd of 3 Regional Travel Fairs organised by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB). It aims to promote the Philippine domestic tourism by providing stakeholders and industry players a venue to transact businesses among sellers, buyers and public consumers.
The TRAVEX is a half day business-to-business tabletop discussion between participating buyers and sellers that will give them the opportunity to generate direct sales and business leads as well as a venue to network, meet new business partners and renew business deals.
Local tourism continues to blossom
According to latest results of the Philippine Tourism Satellite Accounts (PTSA) which provides information on tourism expenditure and employment, domestic tourism expenditures, which includes the expenditure of resident visitors within the country grew by 19.1%, from Php 1,770.7 billion in 2015 to Php 2,108.2 billion in 2016.
Employment in tourism characteristic industries was estimated at 5.2 million in 2016, higher by 5.1% compared to 5.0 million in the previous year while share of employment in tourism industries to total employment in the country was recorded in 12.8% in 2016.
The third and last leg of Regional Travel Fair for this year will be held in Bacolod City in conjunction with Masskara Festival in October.
