5. Dante Basco
Ever since his iconic role as Rufio in the 1991 film Hook (starring *sniff!* Robin Williams!), Dante has been all over the Hollywood circuit. He’s portrayed various Asian ethnicities, but the first time he’s played his own ethnicity as a Filipino-American in the indie film The Debut. He’s also known for voicing Zuko in Avatar: The Last Airbender, and as Jake Long in American Dragon: Jake Long on Disney Channel!
4. Darren Criss
Everyone’s favorite StarKid, ex-Warbler and Glee guy, Darren Criss is half Irish, half Filipino, thanks to his mom who hails from Cebu! Darren calls himself a very seasoned Filipino eater, with some of his favorites including lumpia, bibingka, adobo, and pancit! It seems that fame is written in the stars for Darren– after a hugely successful stint on Glee, his next gig is taking the reins from none other than Neil Patrick Harris himself as the lead role of Hedwig in Hedwig and the Angry Inch on Broadway!
3. Hailee Steinfeld
As far as Pinoy pride is concerned, Hailee Steinfeld will do you proud indeed! At only 14 years old, she was nominated for an Oscar for her work in True Grit, making her one of the youngest nominees by the Academy. If that isn’t talent, I don’t know what is! Now 18 years old, she’s starred in other films since then such as Romeo and Juliet, Begin Again, and in Pitch Perfect 2! Her mother, Cheri Domasin, is a Filipino interior designer who hails from Bohol.

This super sexy pop star may be projecting himself as a hot Latino star, but turns out half of his good-looking genes are Pinoy! His father, singer Julio Iglesias, married the beautiful Manila socialite Isabel Preysler, a Filipina mestiza with Spanish ancestry. He has been dating the beautiful tennis player Anna Kournikova since 2001!
1. Bruno Mars
What else is there to say about Bruno Mars? He is a superstar! The Uptown Funk singer’s mother Bernadette San Pedro Bayot was Filipina, who sadly passed away from a brain aneurysm in 2013. There isn’t anything that Bruno Mars can do that would not make us love him!
