115th Labor Day Brings Jobs To Filipinos

With the theme ‘Matatag na Kabuhayan at Trabaho tungo sa Progresibong Pagbabago’, the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte celebrates its first Labor Day under his reign. The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) organizes a series of job fairs throughout the country to aid the millions of unemployed Filipinos.

Most of the jobs available are in the field of construction, business process outsourcing, and manufacturing.

DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello III advises applicants to make sure to bring their requirements, such as:

  • multiple copies of their curriculum vitae
  • NSO birth certificate
  • government IDs
  • transcript of records and 2×2 id pictures, so as to not create unnecessary delays during their recruitment process on the event itself.

In line with the observance of Labor Day, the agency also reminds employers of strict pay rules on the said national holiday.
