Greetings in St. La Salle!
We would like to invite you all to the 10th Convention for the Arts, to be held on March 23, Saturday, from 9:00AM to 5:00PM at Room 1703, Bro. Andrew Building, DLSU-M. The convention shall be followed by a Cultural Night, to be held in the 18th floor Auditorium, from 6:00PM to 9:30PM.
The event aims to introduce students to new forms of literature and visual arts. Below are outlined the event’s objectives:
- To help expose the diversity of artistic forms from the fields of literature, music, visual and other varieties of performance arts
- To contribute in nourishing relationships among student artists
- To help the community of student organizations that front the exposition and preservation of cultural and artistic practices to extend their networks among other similar groups
- To provide artists a venue to showcase their crafts, works and artistic interests
- To promote Filipino consciousness through poetry performances, music, and visual artistry
Established writers and artists are invited to give a discourse on their craft. The following are speakers of the convention: Mr. Noel Soler Cuizon for Art, Ms. Shaira Luna for Photography, Mr. Allan Popa for Poetry, and Mr. Carljoe Javier for Fiction & Non-fiction.

In the evening, members from DLSU WUSHU, UP UGAT, KONTRA-GAPI, DLSU MALATE LITERARY FOLIO, and X-TENSYON: PLAYWRIGHTS LABORATORY shall perform. 2 one-act plays written by students from UP shall be performed.
This event is open to all. We expect at least one hundred participants from different schools and universities around Metro Manila.
