5. Have something refreshing on-hand.
Most Christmas parties involve games and dancing, and people will eventually sweat a little and feel tired. That’s when the Whisky Lemonade will come in handy. Cool and refreshing, this drink will make everyone feel better in no time!
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons of Andy Player
- 2 tablespoons of simple syrup
- Lemon zest
Instructions:
- Mix the lemon juice, Andy Player, and simple syrup over ice.
- Garnish with lemon zest.
Best served when: people are tired from dancing or playing the holiday games you prepared for the party. Why give people water after a dancing session? Give them more alcohol! Hahaha.
4. Stock up on ice.
I don’t think I can stress this enough: stock up on ice. Make sure you have enough ice in the freezer and more to keep everyone happy. It’s always better to have too much ice than to run out of ice and not know what to do with your party.
Besides, one of the easiest ways to drink Andy Player is on the rocks – and ice is all you will need for that (aside from the Andy Player, of course).
3. Have some tea ready.
Tea helps with digestion, so it is great to have some handy if you plan on serving dinner at your party. The alcohol is completely optional for this one, of course, but here’s how you can make an alcoholic Green Tea Hot Toddy in case you’re interested:
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 3/4 cup of hot brewed green tea
- 1/4 cup of Andy Player
- Lemon wedge
Instructions:
- Stir the honey in the hot brewed green tea until it melts.
- Add some Andy Player into the mix.
- Garnish with a lemon wedge.
Best served when: you’ve just finished eating. Smokers usually head out to have a cigarette after a heavy meal, but it’s nice to have something on-hand for the non-smokers, as well. This will help them with digestion and give their tummies more space for more food later on during the night. Score!
2. Have something for the kids.
Do your friends have kids? Do you have kids? Hot chocolate makes everyone happy – and it makes some adults even happier when mixed with a bit of alcohol. Here’s how you can make a Whisky Hot Chocolate:
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup of cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup of chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/4 tsp of chili powder
- 2 cups of whole milk
- 1 ounce of Andy Player
- Marshmallows (optional)
Instructions:
- Heat everything but the Andy Player in a small saucepan until the chocolate chips and the cocoa melt.
- Bring the mixture to a steam and remove the saucepan from the heat.
- Add the Andy Player and serve with marshmallows.
Best served when: an adult gets envious of a kid’s hot cocoa. Yes, this happens. Believe it or not, I have personally experienced several instances where my friends asked to have what my 5-year-old was having. This appeases them and makes them feel like a kid again, but with the added bonus of alcohol! Yippee!
1. Make sure the Christmas vibe is always there.
What better way to ensure there’s a Christmas vibe in your drinks than by serving the ultimate Christmas drink out there? Eggnog! We love our eggnog with whisky, though others prefer theirs with rum or brandy. Either way, eggnog is a great way to keep the Christmas cheer alive at the party!
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces of Andy Player (or rum or brandy)
- 1 teaspoon of powdered sugar
- 1 whole egg
- 5 ounces of milk
- Cinnamon
Instructions:
- Aside from the nutmeg, shake all of the ingredients together with some ice.
- Strain it into a glass and sprinkle the cinnamon on top.
Naturally, you can choose your own alcohol preferences for the items needed to make the drinks in this list, but we’d highly recommend using Andy Player for your whisky needs. Since it’s only Php150 per bottle, it will help you save a ton of money that you can then spend on something else, like decorations, gifts or added entertainment for the night. 🙂
Coleen Garcia loves Andy Player, too. In fact, she would love for you two to meet. What say you? Meet Andy Player today. #HaveYouMetAndy
