Looks like someone got in touch with his country boy side while working on a new album!
Former One Direction star Zayn spent an idyllic summer in a private studio on a rural farm in Pennsylvania, where he walked horses and fed cows in between recording sessions.
Zayn was working on tracks for his next album, after his debut album, Mind of Mine, was released in 2016.
Talking to Billboard, Zayn says he loved the farm life, as it reminded him of the countryside in Bradford, England, where he grew up.
“The farm is just out of the way and feels grounded.
There’s not a lot of things around. I do a lot of farm work. I take the horses out and feed the cows and that kind of stuff. It’s cool. I’ve always been interested in animals.
“
The pop star has also invited his family and girlfriend Gigi Hadid over at the farm.
In the same interview, Zayn also revealed that he no longer speaks to any of his former 1D bandmates.
“Our relationships have definitely changed since we were in a band together, but I think that’s just life. Everybody grows up; two of the guys have got kids now… I don’t talk to any of them, really.”
