Yoga+ was established in 2011 by a group of friends with a common passion for yoga. Driven by their yearning to go beyond their limits, they launched their own yoga studio where they could have a space to challenge their strengths and share their passion for yoga with other people.

Created with the busy end-user in mind, Yoga+ only requires that you bring your own water bottle with you when you come in to practice. No more lugging around yoga mats to and from work! It is the only studio in the country with state-of-the-art facilities like an Infrared Lay-in Ceiling Heater they imported from Australia that kills bacteria and uses far infrared rays to produce gentle heat; Special Yoga Flooring, which is made out of non-toxic materials, fine cushioned to prevent the knees from getting bruised; and shower rooms to accommodate all the students after their practice. Yoga+ also ensures a convenient and hassle-free workout by providing their students free Alkaline water, toiletries, and use of Manduka Mats, yoga towels, and microfiber bath towels

There are a variety of classes being offered at Yoga+, the most popular being Hot A, Hot B, and Vinyasa Flow classes. Ryan Chester, the Studio Manager of Yoga+ The Fort and Yoga Instructor, explained the difference between the two. “The most popular form of yoga right now is Hot Yoga. At Yoga+ we have two types of Hot Yoga, Hot A and Hot B. ‘Hot B’ is based on Bikram Yoga which is a 26-posture hot sequence, while ‘Hot A’ or Absolute Yoga is a 50-posture hot sequence. Vinyasa Flow is also a very popular form of yoga because it’s for those people who don’t want to do a set sequence every time. You won’t do two Vinyasa classes that are identical because there are so many postures to choose from, and the teacher creates a different sequence every time.”
