When in Manila, the second annual Yahoo OMG Awards took place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena last July 6, 2012 where 13,000 avid fans turned up to be part of the star-studded show and support their favorite idols and celebrities. It was truly a grand celebration for the entertainment industry as Kapamilya, Kapuso, and Kapatid stars all gathered together for one evening.

There were a total of 26 categories with 129 nominees, summing up to 4,102,720 votes from the fans which were cast from June 4 to 28, 2012. Anne Curtis took home the most prestigious title of Celebrity of the Year. Other winners were:

In between the awarding were dance, fashion and music performances by DJ Mars Miranda, Bailes de Luces, Urbandub (one of my favorite bands of all time!), Franco, Solenn Heussaff, Julie Anne San Jose and Sam Concepcion, Addlib Dancers, Philippine Ninja Assassins, and for a finale—an incredible father-and-son dance number by Gabriel and Gary Valenciano.
