“X-Men: Apocalypse” is one of the geeky movies of 2016 that I simply cannot wait to catch on-screen! Why? Well, I loved “X-Men: Days of Future Past”, and knowing that director Bryan Singer is back at the helm for Apocalypse makes me feel almost certain that it will rock just as hard.
Just a little background on what Apocalypse will be about… Basically, Apocalypse was worshipped as a god since the dawn of civilisation since he was the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men Universe. He amassed the powers of many other mutants and became immortal and invincible. After thousands of years, he wakes up disillusioned and confused about today’s world, so he recruits a team – Magneto included – to cleanse mankind and create a new world order for him to rule. Naturally, the X-Men need to come and save the day (and all of mankind).

Yes, all of our favorite X-Men stars will be back for Apocalypse, including James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult, but there’s one new addition to the team that I personally cannot wait to see *cue the Game of Thrones fangirl in me*: Sophie Turner!!!
