WOW: This is how Boracay’s station 2 beach front looks like now!

Through the years Boracay has become a haven for residents and tourists alike for its pristine sands, picturesque sunsets, party life, water sports and more of what water babies thrive to do particularly during the summer. Because of that, it has become polluted and efforts to clean its beaches have lessened, thus, resulting in a not so beautiful sight to see – trash everywhere.

In an effort to restore the beauty of one of the world’s most popular beaches, it has been reported by ABS-CBN news that our Department of Tourism “is pitching for the closure of Boracay island during the Habagat season to demolish establishments that encroach the easement zone area, Secretary Wanda Teo said Monday.”

Hope is slowly starting to restore when a netizen uploaded this photo of Boracay’s beachfront, located at Station 2.

Captured by Arabelle Taunan – Panagsagan, the beachfront appears clean from trash and even leftover bottles, plastics and paper; just a few of the many forms of rubbish that commonly pollute the beach.

This is indeed the start of progress! Let’s continue to keep our beaches clean.
