For those of you who don’t know him, Anthony Bourdain is a world renowned chef and multiple emmy-winning television personality. He hosted several programs on Food Network and Travel Channel including, “Kitchen Confidential” and “No Reservations,” an American travel and food show. Back in 2008, Bourdain visited the Philippine for one of its episodes.
Around September of this year, Bourdain announced that he will soon be back in the Philippines to shoot an episode of his new TV Program on CNN, “Parts Unknown”. While not many seemed to know his exact dates, there have been several “sightings” of the world renowned chef in various restaurants around Manila.
On Dec. 10, he was said to have been in Cafe Chosun, a Korean restaurant in Malate. Earlier today, he was then spotted by Alfredo Lupe enjoying a meal in private in Jollibee.
Alfredo shares, “Nagmeryenda lang ako, nakita ko pa si Anthony Bourdain sa Jollibee! Mukhang enjoy sya sa chickenjoy!” (I was just having my afternoon snacks in Jollibee when I saw Anthony Bourdain! It looks like he’s enjoying his chickenjoy)
Wow! Jollibee is packed yet no one seems to know they are in the presence of a famous chef and TV personality, everyone’s just so calm. Upon hearing the news, one Bourdain fan, Isabel Rodriguez shares how she would’ve surely freaked out if she saw him.
We aren’t sure yet if his Philippine visit is part of his show, or if he returned simply because he missed the delicious Filipino food.
