Working From a Coffee Shop: The Top 3 Coffices in Manila

Working From a Coffee Shop: The Top 3 Coffices in Manila

When in Manila, finding a good cup of coffee can actually be quite of a struggle for a coffee lover foreign to the city. My last trip was for business and pleasure. While I had meetings and photoshoots scheduled for when I arrived, though, I also made sure I took time off to explore more of the beautiful islands of the Philippines.

During my ‘work time’ I always found myself searching for the perfect coffice (cafe-office hihi) to enjoy breakfast and my regular latte while I worked on my travel & style blog, The Love Assembly. Of course, there was always the option of joining the overflowing crowds at large chain coffee shops but if you’re anything like me and prefer cafes that are a little more independent, stylish and not-so-crowded (but still with great coffee, of course!); grab your laptop, take a seat and spend your morning working at any of these three cool coffices below:

Tucked away behind a wine bar on Legazpi street is The Curator – coffee shop by day, cocktail bar by night. I went sugar-free the first time I tried their coffee and actually loved it! Quite unusual for someone with a sweet tooth like me, but the owners really encourage not to have their freshly brewed coffee beans with sugar, so that you can fully enjoy their taste. They have a great set-up where you can’t hear all the hustle and bustle of the city, as well – something that definitely gets a thumbs up since you can really concentrate on doing your work because of this.

Cafe-offices in Manila

Just right across from Greenbelt 3 is Tutto Domani, a lifestyle cafe connected to New World Hotel. The cafe boasts of colourful figurines, fun and interesting furnishings, delicious food and great service. They have the best iced coffee here and their food is always delicious and creatively presented. Settle down on a private or communal table for a morning of powering through the day’s work. Plus, their Wi-Fi connection is super fast!

Early Bird Breakfast Club, Manila

Last but not least is the Early Bird Breakfast Club in BGC. Here, the high ceilings and bright artwork give a welcoming and positive vibe – the kind of feeling that’s perfect to start off your day with. The generous servings at this all-day breakfast joint will leave you satisfied and energised for a big working day ahead. It’s also where I first met a beautiful friend who also loves Early Bird!

If you know of any others, please leave a comment and I’ll make sure to schedule my next coffice session there when I’m back in Manila!
