This seminar will enable me to further expand my personal awareness of my strengths and help me hurdle my limitations both as a potential leader and as a person. This will also help me understand other people more and communicate better with others. It is always my goal to improve my communication and leadership skills and offering this kind of seminar greatly helps in developing myself further. Plus, this is a good way of of relating with like-minded individuals like me and sharing our knowledge and experiences with each other. Participating in this event is something that I wouldn’t miss if given a chance because this is an opportunity for me to learn something new and exciting.
Arvin Ello:
Teachers are a great influence on how students view life. Their words can make or break someone’s future. Words can inspire or destroy self-esteem. They can help us or discourage us from doing our best and facing the challenges that come our way. As a passionate teacher for over a decade now, I have helped a lot of students (of varying levels, ages and with different needs) to do their best and be a better student that they can be. The Personal Awareness & Leadership Seminar can further equip me with the tools and skills to improve myself and help more people improve themselves as well. It’s a joy helping others view life in a very optimistic way. Since I was still a high school and college student, I’ve been very active in tasks that require leadership responsibilities. It is important for a leader to further be trained to affect and empower more people within his/her influence. Teaching students of varying levels (preschool, elementary, high school & college) have taught me a lot of things in life. Many of them have already finished college and now working in their chosen career. Many of my students still keep in touch with me online and thru mobile phone to just say ‘hi’ & “how are you’ or when they need to consult something about school, work or relationships. As years go by, our circle of influence gets bigger and bigger, and I want to be a better student, teacher, friend, writer, artist, leader, etc. Being an advocate of the Arts (visual, literary, theater, music, etc), it is important for me to project a positive image and encourage people participate and share their talents for others to see and emulate. This Seminar is a perfect way to achieve this dream so that leadership can be shared and practiced in a wider scope.
