After Daniel Craig said that he would rather “kill himself than star in another Bond movie”, this leaves the doors open on who will slide next into that Aston Martin.
While actors such as Tom Hiddleston — who’s apparently busy in his dalliance with Taylor Swift– have been thrown into the mix, there’s always one name that’s always up in the air: Idris Elba.
And guess who’s backing Idris’ casting as the next James Bond? No one other than Steven Spielberg!
The Hollywood actor expressed his approval of Idris in an interview with British publication Express, where he said:
“I think Idris would be my first choice of Bond if Daniel decides not to come back.”
Idris has however stated in the past that he was too old for the role. But with Spielberg’s backing, this just might change his mind!
