Unhappy with Your Current School? Here’s Why Transferring Schools Is A Reality Everyone Should Accept

Why Transferring Schools Is A Reality Everyone Should Accept

Have you ever found yourself thinking ‘What the hell am I doing here?’ after another stressful or uneventful day at school? Ever thought about just dropping certain subjects which (you think) won’t be of any help to your future career pursuits? Do you find yourself spacing out too often during early morning or late afternoon lectures and wishing your professor could just put in a little effort to make things more interesting?

Students in iAcademy are encouraged to work in groups to develop camaraderie and interpersonal learning. In addition, every term, each class is given at least one special project that’s meant equip them with substantial experience for their chosen field.

If you answer yes to these questions then that means you are unhappy (and most probably, not learning as much as you need to)—whether with your school, your professors or your current course does not matter. Point is the system employed by the institution you go to does not cut it for you and you need to do something about it soon. Because if you don’t, chances are you’ll find yourself in deeper point-of-no-return trouble.

College is not a one size fits all concept.

Practical, hands-on training using the latest technology is very much part of the iAcademy curriculum.

That is just the reality of it. You graduate high school at 16 or 17, and you are already expected to make a decision that will shape the entire course of your future. While it is rarely talked about, a lot of people know that it is not something students get right on their first try.

Despite a student’s need to explore other educational opportunities, it is the logistics behind transferring to another school that can potentially nurture their inherent talents and interests that proves to be the biggest obstacle. Students who have undergone this process say it is by no means simple and questions why it has to be so hard for them to get into a new (and more suitable) academic and social environment.

“There used to be a big stigma attached to transferees, which is usually based on the speculations people had about why they moved schools. Realistically though, these students go through the same stringent process of application and usually do so because they finally found a school that caters to both their interest and the potential to build a future career,” explains Mr. Mitch Andaya, Vice President for Academics,iACADEMY.

iAcademy provides everything students need to maximize learning while at school, even for those enrolled in short-term courses.

Schools like iACADEMY have made an effort to make it easier for transferees to explore educational options available to them by simplifying the process. For instance, one of the biggest questions that students and parents of students interested in transferring have is whether their current accumulated college units will be credited by their new school. Another concern is that despite knowing that their current college is not a great fit for them, they don’t really know what the next steps are.

Andaya adds, “we have managed to simplify this process by putting prospective students or transferees as the priority. Interested applicants may send in their application forms with their transcript and we can get back to them within 24 hours with an assessment. We also have a team of trained counselors who can guide them through the process of identifying their major as well as academic consultants who can discuss their next steps in detail.”
