Let’s face it, the current circumstances in Metro Manila, particularly regarding the traffic conditions, are just getting worse. Some say traffic is a sign of urbanization, modernization, or of any –zions, but the most important –zion is that it’s a source of stress and “ten-zion”.

At 28, I want to do it all—get a post-grad degree, a promotion, have great relationships, to stay healthy, be with the ones I love, and most especially, to be there in very special moments . I want to do it all—and I can from where I am from.
From afar, my home stands out. Its architecture is rare—in fact there is none other like it in the country. I love my unit, it’s cozy and the view from the balcony is stunning.
At 28, I found the perfect job. The culture is great, the package is great and I believe that I can climb up fast, but those are not the best parts of it. The best part is, I arrive at the office within 10 minutes. The same goes when coming home—10 minutes, that’s it!
With hours to spare, I have more time to enjoy! Whenever my friends are around, or if my colleagues and I want to celebrate, I would cross the street to the mall or to the restaurants around the area. After spending time with them, I walk back home within 10 minutes to spend the rest of the night with my family.
Life is easy at 28, I don’t worry about buying cars just to get to work or to fit in. From where I’m from, I don’t need it. I get to do everything I want in a day and get to be with everyone I love within an matter of minutes.
At 28 I realized that life is short—spending it on the road to be where I want to be and need to be just wastes time—Time I should be using to make a difference.
You see, from where I’m from, everything I need is around me,
From where I’m from I never miss the big moments.
From where I’m from I am closer to everything.
Afterall, when you’re looking for a place to stay—closer is everything, right?
