What the Tea – The Perfect Place for Tea and Chicken Lovers

What the Tea – The Perfect Place for Tea and Chicken Lovers

When In Manila, you must have at least tried a few cups of milk tea and, if so, you must have a favorite by now. Tea is a good alternative to coffee.  As a non-coffee drinker and a true-blue milk tea fan, I know for a fact that not all milk teas are created equal. From the top of my head, I can actually name a few milk tea places that I do not like and just a handful of places that I do like. Well, I can confidently say that What the Tea!!! is part of my Like list.

Milk tea isn’t just about mixing milk and tea together; it’s more than that. Just like baking, I found out from What the Tea that exact measurements are crucial in making perfect cups of milk tea.  Not only does the taste change when you choose the level of sugar that you prefer, but it also changes when you decide not to put ice in it or if you decide to have different sinkers in it other than the usual pearls, aloe vera, nata de coco, perilla, pudding or jelly.

I visited the What the Tea branch in Valenzuela recently and the minute I stepped into the store, I felt like I just wanted to hang out there all day; the ambiance is that inviting.  There are 3 floors to this branch; plus outdoor seating for smokers. Each floor is well-lit and clean, the seats are comfy and there’s free wifi to boot. The first 2 floors are for the patrons dining in and the 3rd floor is soon going to be turned into a function room for small meetings – fully equipped with a TV and a projector for presentations.

Not only does What the Tea have an awesome variety of drinks from milk tea to Lemonade Yakult to Rock Salt and Cheese, but they also have delicious affordable snacks and rice meals that are really affordable for students in case you want to hang out there and study.
