What Men Should Wear Under Their Swim Trunks this Summer

When temperatures get very high and the stress from work or school becomes overwhelming, the desire to go to the beach becomes too much that the only way to recover is to actually go to one. We pack our swimwear, our favorite food, a great playlist, and our best friends and head to the nearest waves.

People think that guys have it easy when they travel. Many say that guys can stuff a few clothes and be able to survive a trip to the beach. They don’t need to worry about matching swimsuits, wardrobe malfunctions, or wearing a two-piece without a “bikini bod.” Yes, many think that guys have it easy during the summer.

But there’s one issue that plagues many guys when it comes to swimwear. Yes, most of us still worry about abs and ripped arms, but more worry about this: wet underwear. You know what I’m talking about. Do you get that weird feeling when you’re out of the water and your trunks dry, and your underwear is soaking wet? It gets uncomfortable, especially when certain body parts get wrinkly because of the moisture.

Swim trunks usually come in quick dry fabrics that easily dry so men can do other activities right after swimming. This is important because beach trips are not all about swimming. It could mean grabbing drinks, singing at the karaoke, or just hanging out. Sadly, most underwear aren’t built to dry fast so we have to endure a wet crotch throughout the day.

Because of this, most men choose to skip underwear and just “freeball” (it’s exactly what it sounds like). It feels liberating to go commando, but personally, I’d like a little support for what they call the family jewels. There’s also the threat of waves strong enough to pull your shorts down when you’re in the water.

Why Should Men Care About Underwear

Fashion blogger David Guison is a fan of Pull-In

Luckily, there are some underwear that offer quick dry fabrics perfect for swimming. One of the stylish set’s new favorites is Pull-In, a French label that uses a combination of polyester, polyamide, and organic cotton fabrics, which make each pair easy to wash and dry. It also has elastane fiber, which can be stretched up to seven times its original length before going back to its shape. And the cotton is 100% certified organic cotton yarn, or a combination of 95% organic fibres and 5% synthetic fibres (elastane), which grants maximum comfort whether you’re underwater or on the shore. All their products are designed in France and produced in France, Spain, Italy, and Portugal, so you’re assured of quality.
