And you thought you’ve seen everything in Boracay already?
I thought so too. But that was only until earlier this month and I was invited to have a peek at what people in the notorious party island have dubbed as “Boracay’s best kept secret.”
And my, what a gorgeous secret have I discovered.

This, my friends, is Kama Beach Club, nestled somwhere in the eastern coast of the island; opposite of the world-famous White Beach, which is in the west.

At first sight of this locale, I was simply blown away. It reminded me of El Nido’s secret beach, as Kama Beach Club is so quietly tucked in a small private cove–behind some towering karsts and big crashing waves in the distance that make you feel quite alive.
The water is cool, clear blue, and inviting. On one side a swing set stands lone over the shallow part of the water–so perfect for your Instagram posts. The sand, irrevocably divine as Boracay sand always has been. And the beach club? The beach club will forever change your perception of Boracay as just a wild party place for the young and hungry.
At Kama Beach Club, people party a little differently. This is where the big guys come to both relax and play. And you can find both of that here.

Scott Weissman, the owner and developer of Kama Beach Club, says that the inspiration to build this club comes from what he observed as a lack of better things to do in Boracay during the day. Aside from their major parties and weekend benders that bring Kama Beach Club to life at night, coming soon are yoga, meditation, spa, and other holistic treatments to cater to guests looking for a serene place to kick back after a long night of partying. Kama Beach Club’s bar also carries detox drinks and healthy snacks such as kale chips, granola, etc.
A taste of the finer things
At this Hidden Beach, as locals would call it, you come for the privacy, the luxury, and–let’s be honest–the bragging rights. Kama Beach Club is to Boracay as what Berghain is to Berlin. Exclusivity is the key word. Unfortunately, you can’t just walk in.
But here’s a peek of what you can find behind the club’s gates:
On the beach, white cozy beds are spread along the shore, some with accents of matching white drapes that blow gracefully with the wind. All day long I see people lounging there, bathing under the warmth of the sun and getting their tan on.
A DJ booth, so simple yet tastefully designed, stands on one end of the beach. And they play the best music here I’ve heard in ages. DJs from all around the world come in to Kama Beach Club just to play their own signature music. Imagine lounging on this magnificent beach with world-class house music playing all day long. Yes. The chill vibe is real.
On the opposite end of the shore, you’ll find the bar which serves only the finest drinks. And I really do mean the finest.
Fancy a bottle of Dom Perignon? I don’t remember how many glasses of that fine champagne I’ve had. (35k per bottle, thank you very much.) But let me tell you it was exquisite.
This is the perfect place to chill. At Kama Beach Club, they’ve mastered the perfect balance serene and exciting. I cannot imagine finding another spot in Boracay quite as exceptional as this.

The mad parties
I rang in the New Year’s at Kama Beach Club. And I can think of no other way of putting it than this: everything was goddamn beautiful. The lights, the music, the dolled up beds, the lit bottles of expensive vodka and champagne, and the club’s guests from around the world who all look like they’ve jumped out of a New York runway show. All the glitter.
The tide was high that night, and so we danced barefoot over the damp sand while the warm water played at our feet. Every movement would send a splash of water, and the air was filled with melodies of music, crashing waves, and laughter.

Our hands–our hands sparkled, occupied with the glasses of champagne that don’t run out. And at the strike of midnight, when the sky burst out in fireworks, champagne showers started, too.
I had stars in my eyes.
That was one of the best New Year’s parties I’ve ever been to.
Kama Beach Club is the first of its kind in the world. It’s the first wellness and premier recreation club located in an isolated cove of one of the world’s most beautiful islands, Boracay. This is a perfect hideaway for people who want luxury and privacy in a tourism hotspot.
