The women’s basketball team of University of Connecticut had their 111-game winning streak end after losing in overtime to Mississipi State at the buzzer on Friday (Saturday in Manila).
Morgan William knocked down a jumper from the right wing as the buzzer sounded to lift the no. 2 seeded Bulldogs over the no. seeded Huskies.
It was the first loss for the Huskies since November 17, 2014. It will also be the first time since 2012 UConn won’t win the national championship.
Mississipi State, who are in their first Final Four appearance, will face South Carolina for the NCAA women’s national championship.

Still gotta give props to UConn for that 111-game win streak. Unheard of.
Have you ever seen a more historic shot than this?
