Tasty, tasty prawns!
A video going viral on social media shows how a group of Chinese tourists shove each other and scoop plates and plates of prawns in a buffet in Thailand.
According to the Shanghaiist, a news and media website in China, the crew at the hotel where the “buffet incident” happened were shocked at the behavior of the tourists. What’s sad though is that most of the food that the tourists took were left uneaten.
There are mixed reactions as to what happened.
Some netizens expressed shock and disgust, saying that it was such a “savage” thing to witness.
Others tried to be positive and mentioned that the reaction and behavior of the Chinese tourists at the prawn buffet may be due to the cultural differences.
Also, some said that this may be due to the expensive prices of prawns in a province in China where a man was reportedly charge 2700 Yuan (approx. PhP 19,382) for a plate of prawns.
