Everyone is resilient. The only difference is how fast you can get up and how fast you can churn negatives to positives. Similar to the advocacy of the video shared by PRU Life UK on Facebook, it exhibits the Filipinos’ natural strength in overcoming trials and tribulations.

As seen on the PRU Life UK’s website, there were four encouraging stories of resilience and hope, and this video I’m about to share is one of them.
It showcased the heartwarming story of Daniel Dejapin.

As described in the video, Daniel grew up in the busy streets of Ermita, Manila. He started working at a very young age by selling roses to tourists in Baywalk, to help him get through. The video also showed his eagerness to finish school despite being homeless.
Instead of being rebellious, he used those trials to reach for his dream – to finish school. As luck would have it, someone listened and helped him reach his aspiration. With much determination and moral support of his teacher and friends, he was given a full scholarship at The Robert Bosch United World College in Germany.
