WATCH: This Dormitory Will Accommodate COVID-19 Frontliners for Free

My Rainbow Place

The enhanced community quarantine is a great idea but one of its challenges is the ban on public transportation. Medical workers and other frontliners who still need to report to work must walk to their workplace if they don’t have cars. The owners of My Rainbow Place Dormitory in Tandang Sora, Quezon City saw this and decided to open their doors for medical frontliners for free.

Check out what it looks like here:

According to company president Beda Manalac in an interview with DZMM, “Nakita din namin yung mga balita na nahihirapan na yung medical personnel, ‘yong mga frontliners so anyway since walang estudyante sabi namin perfect yong solution nito.

[“We saw the news that medical personnel and frontliners are having a hard time. since there are no students, we thought that this is a perfect solution.”]

In a separate interview, owner David Lim told the Philippine Star columnist Wilson Lee Flores that they are now coordinating with hospitals in Quezon City to coordinate the stay of medical frontliners.

The dormitory is newly-built and features 105 rooms measuring 18 sq. m. each. All the bedrooms have two bunk beds, tables, and a bathroom.
