The video of her audition was uploaded by the official X Factor UK YouTube channel, and has hit over 1 million views as of posting yesterday.

The perky Filipina is “a finalist in the second season of The Voice of the Philippines”, according to Rappler.com. Last 2014, she also trended on social media for her version of Disney film Frozen’s “Let It Go”, a song she sang at the karaoke machine during a trip to the mall that was recorded and uploaded online.

“I believe my talent is world class, and I’m here to represent the Filipino communities here in the UK,” she reveals to judge Simon Cowell, when asked why she auditioned for the UK version of the X-Factor. She also revealed that she started singing “when she was five and since then, she never stopped.”

Banaobra was accompanied by her mother and friends she considered as “family” who were cheering for her nearby.

“I always think that, you know, that a lot of people from where you’re from are amazing singers,” Cowell commented.
