WATCH- There's a Biopic on Tupac Shakur, and a New Trailer is Here!

Tupac Shakur changed the rap game when he entered the scene in the early ’90s. Now, the industry is honoring him with a biopic called All Eyez On Me, and a new trailer is out now!

Watch it below:

The trailer covers a wide span of time, from his childhood in the East Harlem in New York City to his rise to fame in the music industry. Demetrius Shipp Jr. stars as Shakur, and the similarities are uncanny. He will be joined by Jamal Woolard as Notorious B.I.G., after playing the same role in the 2009 biopic Notorious. B.I.G. is known as Shakur’s friend and rival.

Shakur was a rapper, producer, actor, poet, and activist. His albums All Eyez on Me and Greatest Hits are part of the best-selling albums in the US. On September 7, 1996, he was shot in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas. He died in the hospital six days later. He was 26.

Despite his death, Shakur still holds considerable influence in the music industry. This month, he was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, where he joined legends like Aerosmith, the Beatles, Bob Dylan, Nirvana, Stevie Wonder, and more.

All Eyez on Me will premiere on June 16, 2017, Shakur’s 46th birthday.
