Although #LoveWins is a popular hashtag and many stories have come our way on the subject, this is the first time I’ve watched a simple yet beautiful LGBT love story in animated form. In ‘In a Heartbeat’, one boy has a crush on another boy, but doesn’t want anybody to know. He actually tries to stop his heart from reacting when he sees the boy and when they topple all over each other in front of a group of people, he runs away and hides. Watch the cute video here:
Although nobody actually talks in the video, animation students Beth David and Esteban Bravo did a great job at creating an incredibly relatable video on the subject. Whether or not you’re gay, you are sure to be able to relate to having a crush that you don’t want anyone else to know about. On the other hand, you might also be able to relate to the group of people who looked at them and judged them without even knowing the whole story.
