Siargao is a small island on the south east region of the Philippines, nestled on the edge of Mindanao, right next to the Pacific Ocean. The island is famous around the globe as a surfer’s heaven–the waves are perfect here–so many travel miles and miles just to get to that little island paradise. Many never find the heart to leave.

Haven’t been to Siargao yet? Filipino photographer and filmmaker Ashley Yee was recently in Siargao, and took home with him not only some precious island memories but this awesome video that showcases all the best Siargao has to offer.

Siargao Island is situated south of the Philippines off Mindanao. The island consists of 48 smaller islands, with 9 municipalities located in the main island of Siargao, which you can easily go around on your motorbike. Off its coast are white sand beaches and the clearest waters you’ll ever see. Aside from these, the locals are amazing and kind too! Siargao offers the kind of chill and laidback island life that everyone could ever wish for.”
