During the Binibining Pilipinas 2017 Coronation Night held last April 30, through a video shared by Facebook user Hep Benitez, Robi Domingo professed his feelings for former girlfriend and athlete Gretchen Ho on stage.
The video doesn’t reveal the entire speech of the actor, but Facebook user Hep Benitez captions his post with what the actor said.
He said, “Grabe noh? Lots of things that happened. Gusto kong sabihin na, sorry. Masakit, mahirap, pero kailangan. But trust me when I say this, during this process I think I could honestly say that I am saving up all my love for you. I wish I have more time kasi time is the best thing that I could give you right now.”
(Rough translation: “Wow. Lots of things that happened. I just wanted to say, sorry. It’s painful, it’s hard, but needed. But trust me when I say this, during this process I think I could honestly say that I am saving up all my love for you. I wish I have more time because time is the best thing that I could give you right now.”)
Fans squealed and received “aww”‘s from the actor’s impromptu speech. To Gretchen’s surprise, who was a judge at the beauty pageant, she simply smiled as shown in the video.
Many RobiChen (love team name for Robi Domingo and Gretchen Ho) expressed to social media their happy and bubbly insights on the pair.
According to ABSCBN News, “Robi Domingo and Gretchen Ho have apparently decided to break up” as of its posting last March 1 2017, where the two made their announcement in an episode of “Tonight with Boy Abunda”.
It is also mentioned that the two “have to focus on their careers.”
“There is no appropriate time yet for a relationship to grow. But we’re not closing our doors on each other in the future.”
