Hong Kong is one of my most favorite places in Asia. I’ve been twice now, and I am certain I will be back again. I’d always describe Hong Kong as such a vibrant city, full of energy and riddles to uncover, that on the first step on its bustling streets you could instantly feel the life pulsating beneath the soles of your feet.
The infrastructure is incredible. I’d always describe Hong Kong Island, the central business district, as like a mini New York. The food is great. From street food to fancy restaurants, the food is a travel experience on its own in Hong Kong. And, of course, the culture. Being predominantly a Chinese population, the many intricate, fascinating traditions of the Chinese is quite alive and visible, which definitely adds all the more to the special and unique charm of Hong Kong.
For a city with so much to offer, it’s not always easy to capture all that essence. But this one does. This film, “Hong Kong Strong” made by Brandon Li, dives into the many layers of the prime Asian city and captures it so well. Li writes:
