WATCH- Lady Gaga Dazzles in Super Bowl Halftime Show

The Super Bowl halftime show has become a cultural phenomenon that millions of people tune in to catch it, even if they’re not football fans. Each year, they anticipate the star-studded performances of the invited performers, wondering if it will top the previous year’s show. Who can forget Janet Jackson’s slip in 2004, Beyonce’s reunion with the rest of Destiny’s Child in 2013, and Left Shark during Katy Perry’s performance in 2015? This year, Lady Gaga continued the tradition with a high-octane and dazzling performance, and she delivered.

Lady Gaga is a fitting performer. The halftime show is known for its flashy productions, and Gaga built her entire career out of that. For her performance, she started off with a rendition of Irving Berlin’s “God Bless America.” This was followed by a medley of her hits, ranging from The Fame‘s “Just Dance” and “Poker Face” to Joanne‘s “Million Reasons.” The performance was quite the spectacle: she began her set singing on the top of the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas (which stands 79 meters, or the equivalent of 24 floors), then leapt off to land at the stage on the field.

It has become a tradition to invite guest stars to perform with the star, but Lady Gaga performed the entire set on her own.
