WATCH Kids Change the Lyrics Of Jingle Bells to Suit the Modern Age

We all grew up with the song Jingle Bells. We’ve heard it so many times that we can sing along to it even without any accompanying music. Do you want to know how old it is? The song is officially 158 years old!

So many things have happened since 1857 (like the Philippine independence), so it only makes sense to update Jingle Bells to suit the modern age, right? This video shared by Micah Indiola shows two kids singing the updated version of the Christmas classic.

According to Micah:

(While we were eating at Isa Republic around UST lasnight, two boys approached us to sing Christmas carols. We expected them to sing the usual and common Christmas songs since they were kids. We were about to ask them to leave until they sang a different version of Jingle Bells.

This is proof that Filipino kids are creative. It’s nice that they showed their curiosity for Santa Claus while creating these lyrics.

The lyrics are great. When we asked them who made it, they said it was their friend.)
