It looks like John Lloyd Cruz is indeed slowly moving back to showbiz, as he is set to star in a movie that will be released this year. That in itself is exciting, but another thing that we’re looking forward to is his reunion with ex-girlfriend Shaina Magdayao.
Together, they will star in Servando Magdamag, directed by Lav Diaz and based on a short story written by Ricky Lee.
The news was announced in ABS-CBN’s “Sama-Sama Tayo sa 2020” trailer, which highlights the network’s films and TV shows that will be available on TV, online, and in the big screen this year.

This is John Lloyd’s first starring role since Finally Found Someone in 2017. Last year, he had a special guest appearance in the Metro Manila Film Festival entry Culion. He was with Shaina for two years until their breakup in 2012.
