On the video, Alapag said, “I want to thank Coach Norman (Black) and our entire staff. Just thank you guys for believing in me and giving me another opportunity for one last run.”

In 2015, Alapag already announced his retirement. Along with this, his Talk ‘N Text jersey was also retired during the PBA All-Star Game. However, in 2016, he came out of retirement and played for the Meralco Bolts.

Apaprently, Alapag also broke Allan Caidic’s record of scoring the most 3-pointers in history in the 2016 Governor’s Cup. Unfortunately, his team, the Meralco Bolts lost to Barangay Ginebra in the finals.
