WATCH: “Jewels of the North,” A Stunning Aerial Video Collection of PH Northern Landscapes

If this video won’t make you want to pack your bags and go on an ultimate cross-country road trip, I don’t know what will.

The Philippine Roadtrip recently shared a video of their northern adventures, and we are green with envy. It is spectacular. And by spectacular, we mean not just the landscapes, but the multiplying feels you get from the stunning aerial shots from the film.

Aboard their red VW campervan, the three guys behind The Philippine Roadtrip went on an epic roadtrip to Benguet, Ilocos, and all the way up to Batanes. WhenInManila.com got in touch with the trio, and here is what they have to say about their adventure with a cause:

“This is a story of three average dudes with one epic adventure. A 12,000 kms roadtrip across the entire 81 provinces within a period of 7 months.

The objectives are simple. First, to see the off-the- beaten places in the Philippines and give solar lamps to the areas where there is no electricity. Prioritizing the students and teaching about climate change goes with it.

Team is called The Baconeers since we cook bacon on the mountains everytime we reach the summit. These Baconeers are Paul Quiambao, Francis Sta. Romana and me – Alfie Agunoy. We met during our college at the University of Santo Tomas while taking up Architecture. We have been traveling 2 months now and been to 19 Provinces. We will be next visiting MIMAROPA and the Visayas.

The adventure is not for armchair tourists. We barely stay at hotels and at restaurants. We will either sleep at our bus or at the barangay halls. And to keep expenses to minimum, we would cook our own food. Everyone is welcome to join the adventure. They just have to donate to literoflight.org/donate to secure their seat.
