Over the past weeks, this teaser trailer of an alleged live-action remake of “The Addams Family” has been making rounds in the internet. You know, that odd, gothic family we loved in the 90s?
I grew up watching the cartoon, and loved loved loved the 1991 film starring Anjelica Huston and Christina Ricci.

Unfortunately though, as it turns out, the trailer is nothing but a fan-made video who’s wishfully thinking this be a new TV show. I know, looks legit, though. Fans were quick to fall for the fan-made video; myself, included! I was too happy to notice that the clips from the trailer are from various shows Penny Dreadful, Crimson Peak, and from the 1991 movie Addams Family. Darn it. And now we’re only seeing what we’re missing.
The good thing is, after the positive reactions the video garnered over the internet, we can only wish that a network might pick up on the idea. Would be great, wouldn’t it?
