Aside from similar words, almost similar sounding language, and relatable last names, Filipinos and Mexicans share many traditions and customs. Apparently, this is a product of the two countries being dominated by the Spanish Empire some four centuries ago. There are many similarities in our history that makes us more alike with this Latin American country rather than our neighboring countries in Asia.
