Aside from being seen as a man of action, President Rodrigo Duterte probably captured the hearts and support (and votes) of many people because he is a charming person. Although he is known as a tough mayor back then, he also has a soft side that somewhat strikes a balance. He may be feared but he also gets the respect of the people because he is real and is not one to be shy of being funny.
