Canadian Idol runner-up Mikey Bustos is at it again as he creates a parody of another popular and well-loved song, Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me.” He turned the hit ballad into “Circumcising Me”, which he explained:

To the tune of Stay With Me by Sam Smith, this parody is about circumcision, a very old yet accepted practice in Filipino tradition for generations. Though today, the procedure is done in hospitals, this song is about the traditional way of circumcizing boys (known as “pagtutuli” in Filipino/Tagalog) at around the ages of 8-10 in the province. Most Filipino men can relate to this.

Of course, he is on the spot again. The parody lyrics fit almost flawlessly, just like what he did to Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” parody

We definitely agree. We bet most Pinoy men can relate to this song. Good thing, this is already done in hospitals. However, many boys in the provinces still experience this. No anesthesia. Just guava leaves. Then, jumping in the river.

The song really captured the traditional Pinoy circumcision. Kind’a hilarious, but yeah, quite painful.

What do you think?

Men out there, have you gone through this?
