There are many ways to show how grateful we are to our departed loved ones. While showing gratitude comes in many ways, this Chinese artist made sure his gratitude act would be the best amongst others.
He, then, created a “stairway to heaven” fireworks display as a tribute for his late grandmother.
As reported by the People’s Daily Online and Dailymail.co.uk, the 1,650ft. ladder was made by Cai Guo-Qiang, a Chinese contemporary artist, who is originally from Quanzhou, and now based in New York City.
Furthermore, the fireworks display was made of metal wire, aluminium, and was filled with gunpowder and attached to the bottom of a hot air balloon.
Meanwhile, the hot air balloon was made with special material and launched from a boat off the shore of a nearby island in Huiyu.

It was also stated in the article that it was Cai’s dream twenty-one years ago, to design a spectacular fireworks display. Cai is one of the prominent fireworks artists in China and made a series of international events in the country, including the opening ceremony of Beijing Olympics in 2008.
Ultimately, the spectacular fireworks display was his way of thanking his grandmother for supporting his dream to be an artist.
Well, I’m sure your grandmother was delighted and proud to see you flourish as a renowned artist. You are absolutely fantastic!
What do you think of his fireworks display? How would you thank the person who helped you reach your dreams?
