Visit the National Museum For Free During APEC Week

Yesterday, we wrote about how the National Museum of the Philippines is upset with visitors who carelessly touch the art. But before you write them off as a grouchy bunch, you better know this: the National Museum will waive its entrance fee during APEC Week!

This was announced on the National Commission for Culture and the Arts Facebook page, which said:

The National Museum of the Philippines opens its doors for FREE on November 17-21, 2015 in honor of the country’s hosting of APEC 2015!

The National Museum is home to the cultural heritage and natural history of the Filipino people. Just last year, it was renovated to make way for newly-painted walls and reorganized exhibits. Some of its most popular works are Juan Luna’s Spoliarium, a number of Jose Rizal’s sculptures, and an entire collection of Fernando Amorsolo’s portraits, sketches, and notes.

The museum is located in Padre Burgos Drive, Manila.
