VirtualRacePH begins 2018 with a mission to REBUILD!

After the success of its 6 events in 2017 with thousands of runners taking part in covering a total of 416,312 kilometers, putting together a total of 457,456 pesos through different partner organizations and charities, VirtualRacePH now encourages everyone to run and take part in rebuilding Marawi City.

This 2018, VirtualRacePH proudly presents PHOENIX RISING: Soldiers of Rebirth.

But first, WHAT IS A VIRTUAL RACE? A virtual race is a running event similar to your fun runs but there are no gun starts or physical starting line. Participants are required to complete their target distances within a given period. They will then submit their proof of runs (screenshots using their GPS devices/apps) and they will receive finisher’s entitlements like medals and shirts delivered to their doorstep. So runners get to stay fit and stick to their healthy habits at their own place and time. The best part is that since logistics for this type of races are relatively lower than your conventional fun runs, each event can generate a higher percentage of proceeds to the chosen beneficiary.

For Phoenix Rising event, we commemorate the 165 brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the 5-month war in Marawi City. Hence, the featured distance is 165km to symbolize 1 kilometer for each brave warrior. Other distances are 42km and 83km. The chosen category is to be completed in 21 days within February 4 to 24, 2018.
