VIRAL: Netizen Hopes This All-Purpose Chair Would Be Available Soon

Back when I was in grade school and high school, my mom would tell me to get a locker so I won’t have to carry loads of books in my backpack. According to most parents, carrying heavy bags could lead to back problems or might affect our posture. Surprisingly, this is the same sentiment of a public school teacher and a worker at the Department of Education or DepEd. In a short interview with him on Facebook, PJ confirmed that he feels bad when he sees his pupils carrying their “house” to school.

In verbatim, he shared:

I teach in public school.mejo naawa aq s mga pupils ko,who carry their ‘house’ whenever they go to school.

So, he decided to share a photo of an all-purpose chair which you could also use to store other school materials such as books, notebooks, crayons, just to name a few.

According to him, he wasn’t expecting his photo would go viral. He was just hopeful the DepEd would consider buying the chair for public schools. Peej also shared his conversation with other people who knew about this chair that apparently, a school in Cavite named Father Michael Donoher Memorial was already using it for Grade 2 students.

The post has gone viral with 54,562 shares.

An update from Peej:

Maraming maraming maraming salamat po s mga like at lalo na po sa nagshare ng post. Di q po inaasahan n ganun ang mangyayri. Masaya na po ako nakarating s depd bids&awards comitee ang aking mensahe. Im hoping and praying n positive ang decision nla. Muli, thnk u po at God bless 🙂‪#‎PARAsamgaBATA‬

I genuinely hope this will push through as it would greatly help more students and parents, as well. The gesture will also prevent future back and posture problems.

Kudos to you, Teacher PJ and to all teachers out there, who are loving and selfless.
