Video: Traffic Officer Apprehends Motorist, but Driver Comes Prepared
Traffic is not the only thing that makes driving in Manila challenging. There are also instances that the traffic enforcers who we should be relying on to make driving in the city safer and smoother are the ones who make it tougher. For an instance, take the traffic enforcer who was caught on video getting money from bus ticket collectors. This activity contributes in making traffic jam worse on EDSA because he allows buses to spend more time on stops than allowed or to pick up passengers even on areas that are not as designated. Another one is a story we posted before about a rude traffic officer who made up violations like “abrupt changing of lanes.”
Recently, another traffic incident happened and it was captured on video. A motorist was driving in one of the streets of Metro Manila when he gets stopped by a traffic enforcer. From the video, it seemed that he was apprehended for driving straight ahead, but the enforcer was saying the he should have turned left. The driver defends himself by saying the he was on the center lane all along because he knows that he cannot drive straight if he was on the left lane. He said he has video to prove that he was on the center lane all along. Moreover, he said that he’s getting tired of getting stopped all the time when he passes and asked for 500 Pesos.

Want to watch me get pissed?
You can’t go straight from the left lane.
I know this.
That’s why I stay in the middle lane… Yet they always stop me and ask for money!!!
