VIDEO: Rider Ran Out of Gas, What These MMDA Officers and Netizen Did Will Brighten Up Your Day

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority or MMDA is always under the microscope. In fact, they have been stereotyped as someone who takes advantage of being powerful and for flagging you for nonsense violations.

Surprisingly, this video uploaded in Facebook by Mr. Eric Granado showed the other side of the MMDA officers.

MMDA Officers Helped Lady Motorist

In the video, it caught a lady walking her motorcycle in the middle lane of an expressway. Being a gentleman himself, Eric stopped and offered help as it looked like she ran out of gas. So, he asked if she had an empty water bottle so he can “loan” some of his gas just so she can reach the closest gasoline station. Unfortunately, both of them didn’t have one. Luckily, two determined MMDA Officers came by and offered further assistance: they both looked for a bottle and one even stopped a bus to ask if the driver had one.

And, as luck would have it, the bus had one and gave it to the MMDA officer pictured above.

Here’s the full caption:

What To Do When You Run Out of Gas?
Based on the article shared by RideApart.com, motorcycles have limited fuel ranges and sometimes tend to lack fuel gauges. Therefore, you will experience running out of gas one way or another. Conversely, this is preventable if you:
  • Prepare and plan for your trip. For example, map out or list down nearby gasoline stations along your route.
  • As per Mr. Eric Granado, it was a lesson learned to him as well to bring extra packaging or an empty water bottle in case you need gas.
  • Of course, remember to fuel up.

Ultimately, the video is satisfying. I’m hoping ALL MMDA officers are like you, guys: always ready to serve and protect!
