Many people were appalled when they read the urgent advisory posted by Courageous Caitie Community Page on Facebook. According to the post, a certain “Sue Lucas” allegedly created a fundraising campaign at youcaring.com to supposedly act as financial support for Caitie.

URGENT ADVISORY:It has been brought to our attention that someone WE DO NOT KNOW has started an online fundraiser in the name of Caitie – THIS IS NOT LEGITIMATE.Our OFFICIAL Online Fundraiser is: https://gofundme.com/8ssauc3v
We don’t know anyone by the name of SUE LUCAS, and she has not reached out to us. Therefore it is NOT a legitimate fund raising activity.
All legitimate fundraising activities for Caitie will have a link here or endorsed by the Courageous Caitie FB Page only.

The 3-year-old Caitie is battling with Juvenile Myelomonocytic Leukemia (JMML), a rare cancer of the blood. The diagnosis came from the group of doctors at the National University Hospital (NUH) in Singapore.
The family flew to Singapore last February 21 where the doctors and their cutting-edge technology were able to identify the disease.

It is sickening to know that there are people who use other’s struggles to make money. Totally unacceptable!
