Early in December, I posted an urgent call for help in locating the missing uncle of a friend. Tito Doroteo is frail and suffering from dementia so his family was understandably terrified at the thought of their loved one out on streets, alone and confused.

A month and a half later, they received a message with a photo of Tito Doroteo and a question asking if they knew the person. Of course, the family was jubilant. Their loved one is finally found! He was being taken care of at a Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) office in Santa Maria, Bulacan. But the moment of reunion was not without a feeling of anguish.
You see, while the search was going on, my friend’s dad was killed. I will not go into the details. Suffice it to say that the family wants justice.
Thank God that the darkness has lifted somewhat for the family of my friend. Tito Doroteo said something strange at the reunion, however. He said that his brother was there earlier.
My friend can only conclude that her dad was still somehow around and helped guide the family to their missing loved one.
I’m glad that my friend found her uncle, safe and sound. I am hoping now that her family will be able to find justice for her dad. Let’s send them good vibes, please, to give them strength to carry on.
