This February 2014, the UP Pre-Medical Society, together with Universal Robina Corporation, Chalk, Manila Ocean Park, FILED, Pocari Sweat, Regalong Pambahay, Cha Dao Tea Place, RX 93.1, DZUP 1602, Energy FM, Manila Times, CircuitMag.net, and WhenInManila.com, presents UP Pre-Medical Society @ 58: Without Limits, a month-long celebration of various events to promote socio-academic awareness to the UP and the rest of the Filipino Community.

As we continue our tradition of giving it life, the UP Pre-Medical Society prepared a series of events that is aimed at bringing out the best in everyone, including you!

MEDTALKS (Medical Career Talk) – February 10, 2014

A talk and forum given by the apt representatives from different prestigious medical schools regarding the culture and curriculum in the College of Medicine for students who are thinking of pursuing a medical career.

Survival of the Fittest Year 8 (SOTF Year 8) – February 21, 2014

A “human body” themed inter-collegiate quiz bee about anything and everything under the sun. Get a chance to win cash prizes! This exciting competition is open to all UP and non-UP college students.

GRAND PAKAIN – February 28, 2014

The Society gives back to the UP Community by providing free lunch, vitamins and entertainment targeted for the employees, street children, and Coop vendors.

STOPLIGHT Singles Party – March 29, 2014

A post-Valentines fundraiser party for the singles and those with complicated relationships. Wear green for GO (single and ready to mingle), yellow for READY (It’s complicated), and red for STOP (I’m taken). Proceeds will go to the Annual Free Clininc and the Elder’s Project.

ELDER’S PROJECT – February 8, 2014

Bahay Kalinga, Paco, Manila

The Elder’s Project is organized to bring joy to our elderly through food, engaging activities and entertainment, while not forgetting to impart knowledge and values on health.

AKAP (Aral sa Kwento at Pasyal) – March 1, 2014

Ermita, Manila

Aral sa Kwento at Pasyal (AKAP) aims to provide a unique and relevant learning experience for less privileged children through a program that would include a storytelling session, preferably involving lessons concerning health and an edicational trip to the Mind Museum.

Beneficiary: Kanlungan sa ER-MA Ministry Inc.

Annual Free Clinic – April 2014

Bicol Region

Aimed to provide free medical check-ups, circumcision services, and medicines to the people of a community in need of free and accessible health care.
